A brand spanking new safety initiative…
Workwear & PPE manufacturer & importer J G Fenn Ltd, are pleased to announce their partnership with leading bespoke Helmet Manufacturer Future Safety Ltd.
The collaboration started when Highway maintenance & Civil engineering group Costain were dissatisfied with the level of protection offered by existing hard hats on the market and set about working with suppliers on improvements which offered all round protection and special nape protection not found in normal industrial safety helmets.
The result is a modified Manta HLN helmet which is fitted with several high tech ground breaking innovations such as Photo luminescent vent covers which glow in the dark for up to 8 hours, Marine standard high visibility retro reflective tapes around the shell, full EPS “Shock Protection” liner and has the option of a high impact polycarbonate drop down visor, where combined eye & head protection is required.
The unit is also fitted with a 4 point chinstrap, a 28mm accessory slot which enables the addition of a full range of high performance Ear protection, cap frames with Polycarbonate or Acetate visors in both 6” or 8” deep options and a chin guard option for added protection. This is further enhanced by the option of fitting bespoke front high performance LED lights and also a back flashing or stable light unit.
The helmet has a high performance ABS outer shell linked to an expanded EPS “Shock absorbing” inner that absorbs energy without transferring it to the wearer. The high performance Manta linked to ground breaking innovation and market leading lateral rigidity means it is also suitable and tested to both mountaineering and search & rescue marine standards.
The exclusive partnership between J G Fenn Ltd & Future Safety Ltd is a milestone in Fenns 140 year history and represents a major investment into the Workwear, Corporate Wear & PPE segment.
Fenns Managing Director, Louise Harris said:
‘This new collaboration is the first of many new innovative initiatives Fenns are developing in our exciting Workwear, Corporate Wear & PPE portfolio. Further class leading products will be following, culminating in our brand new “1875 Collection” to be launched in Spring 2018.’
