Junior Purchase Administrator

Working within a busy and varied environment, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and drive to learn and develop their skills within an office environment.Working within a small and friendly team, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing, customer service and contracts department to provide support for a range of functions. Good general IT skills are essential, with the ability to use MS packages.A confident telephone manner is preferred as you will be expected to take incoming calls when required.

  • Daily purchase order Input
  • Liaising with suppliers for prices and checking stock availability
  • Checking with suppliers for due dates for orders raised
  • Assisting with incoming calls when necessary, taking and passing on messages via e-mail, or transferring the calls to the relevant colleague
  • Filing
  • Work as required for your Manager
  • Photocopying
  • Assisting other team members in monitoring incoming emails during holiday periods
  • Any other administration duties required
  • Filing (Delivery notes)
  • Data input (supplier discrepancies)
  • Monitor Purchasing inbox and distribute
  • Stoke-on-Trent
  • Reference: JPA
  • Up to £ negotiable per annum
